Creative dance is a unique form of self-expression that blends a combination of movements selected to express ideas, thoughts, and feelings of an individual. This dance form combines movement with art to create an aesthetic form of expression of the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual qualities of the creator of the dance.
This book is designed for teachers of all age groups and abilities from pre-school through university levels who wish to use creative dance activities in the classroom, gymnasium, dance studio, and/or on the playground. The methods and techniques used for teaching students how to make decisions and solve problems through creative dance activities can be applied easily to other subject matter as well.
