Islam's view towards economic and business activities is very positive. Numerous Quranic verses and hadiths stress the importance for Muslims to be engaged in such activities. However, Muslim countries are the most economically backward. Not a single Muslim country has achieved the 'developed country' status. Followers of the Islamic faith are supposed to be the most 'successful' people in the world. Even the call to prayers has a phrase that call Muslims towards success. Is this a paradoxical situation?
