The objective of this book is to increase awareness of issues pertaning to safety promotion and injury prevention among health and safety professionals. It provides a multidisciplinary approach to the characterization of the injury problem and offers interventions to reduce death and disability. The viewpoints given by various experts who are actively involved in this field will benefit medical students, nurses, physicians, public health professionals and policy makers.
