PHARMACEUTICAL CARE IN PRACTICE : Simulated Clinical Cases for Pharmacy

This book contains 33 clinical cases categorised into 11 chapters based on the main diseases to ease its use. The cases were designed to simulate real life hospital cases and follow the format of clinical case notes that are typically encountered in Malaysian public hospitals. The main objectives are to share these cases with pharmacy and other health care academic institutions to serve as a useful resource for teaching and learning purposes. All pharmacy and medical students need to be trained on reading and analysing clinical case notes so this book will be useful to these students in enhancing their learning experience. The target readership includes health care academicians and students, especially those from schools of pharmacy. The advantages of this book are it has been formatted such that it is easy to follow and understand. It covers a broad range of clinical cases and teaching staff can use them as templates to develop other cases and this will save them a lot of time to prepare clinical cases for their teaching. Whereas, students can use this book to practice clerking clinical cases before they embark on real patient cases in the hospitals.
