This work is a collective effort of a group of dedicated staff of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences. This volume is divided into two broad sections, Section A and Section B. Section A is devoted to a nostalgic glimpse down memory lane; A.Y.M. Chin and B.R. Wong have written a history of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, stretching from its humble beginnings in the Kuala Lumpur campus during the late 1950s until the present day. Section B comprises contributions from members of the Institute. These articles include recreational topics to more technical ones, giving an idea of the breadth of work being done at the Institute ranging from Pure Mathematics to Applied and Computational Mathematics, and Statistics. These articles are self-contained and can be read in any order.
