Malaysian Accounting Case Studies

The overall aim of this book is to provide cases in financial accounting,
auditing and management accounting issues. The cases are intended
to fill a need for more Malaysian-oriented cases in the accounting
discipline. Given the fact that most available cases are from Western
countries, it is timely that accounting students in Malaysia are given the
opportunity to be exposed to cases that are written with the context of
the Malaysian financial regulatory environment. The cases are designed to
expose students to current issues in Malaysia. It will enable them to apply
concepts covered in their accounting courses and relate these to realistic
situations in the business world. Some cases may require students to apply
accounting technical skills that they have learnt in the accounting courses
to solve the issues raised in these cases.
